The Law Won (Beautiful Losers)

'beautiful losers' started two years ago and will continue this spring. failure is a thread that runs through my work, and with this series, we are given proximity to some of the most loyal and unrewarded fans in professional sports. i already knew of the phrase 'beautiful losers' from the seminal skate/grafitti/street book/exhibition that came out a few years ago, and i just found out it was also the title of a book by leonard cohen (1966). i am excited to go back this spring with the ringlight. it does an amazing job and helps with the potential problem of flash + cubs baseball hat. - Jason Lazarus on his series of drunk and hopeless cubs fans.

We, the fans, are in part responsible. We pay their salaries.

TV on the Radio - Had a nice time with Jen. Music? Ehh..
Earl Greyhound - Fantastic. Led Zep + Buddy Miles after John Bohnam passed.

Country Bluegrass Blues

33 years later marks the end of an era. I just received an email from a friend reminding me of the closing of CBGB's. A sad day in music history.

Of Ben By Jen

While on vacation from Erehwon, I surprised Jen during her lunch break from class. It was a beautiful Monday morning, the sky was blue, the sun was warm. We sat and enjoyed a Creme Soda and two pieces of laffy taffy. Jen took these two photos of me.
