Another 48 Hours : Ransom

Shut the fuck up and listen. Yeah, it's happenin like this. Simple muthafuckingequation, bitch. Titforgotdammittat, print=bike. Fuck with me and find out. I will make it look like this muthafuck was hit by a goddam steam roller, and then parted out. naw, fuck it, that will be too good for it, and it ill be on my head. i'll leave this muthafucker on a bike rack tide with a gardenhose and act like i left it nice, and then watch turn from a prized stallion to goddam mule so fetted with disease and knotted up guts you would rather shoot it then work it. One thing stands between you and this pretty steel bitch i plan to have my way with, your willingness to cooperate. Gettomuthafuckinwork. Alert anybody, and the bitches welfare will be the last thing on your mind. Your ownfukinnwellbeing will take top priority. Thursday Midnight.

21 Yards (for Francis Alys, William Anastasi, Yves Klein and Joe Montana)

During a day with no chess playing, Greg Stimac was forced into documenting a performance. He did a fine job. Here is a sneak peek. Also here are the links to Francis Alys, William Anastasi, Yves Klien, and Joe Montana. I highly suggest checking them out.

Runners World Shoot

This morning was spent with Joe Baran in Humboldt Park for a photo shoot in an up and coming issue of Runners World magazine. The magazine is showcasing me as a Chicago runner and questioning me on my reasons for running and my opinions on different trails. Here are a few photo's from behind the scenes. I will post the composite image when I get it. Oh yeah, it was 40 degrees and pouring rain all morning. We left at 6am. It was pretty awful outside. This just proves that I am as macho as they come.

It is raining. I am missing Devendra Banhart. I have to be up at 5am. I have homework. I have class. I have to work. I have to perform. I have to entertain. I have to sleep. But I still have time to run. "Built to Fail : Routine : Performance Training" IOTO-Benjamin Funke

A show which opened today. I suggest that you check it out. Great work from my fellow classmates in Italy. Be sure to check out "Photo" Joe Ryaoihfaoiwiexcz and (SM)Ashleigh Brickley's fucking amazing work.

A Day in the Life

Here are some of the new images from a shooting last week with Ms. Diana Rose. What a sweetheart. It is unfortunate that I do have to work a retail job, it ties up my days. But I promise more and more and more work to come. Lots of love. BF

"Routine" @ Manual Labor

Last night at Manual Labor I completed the first in the "Routine Series". The durational piece was initiated inside the gallery where I completed my warm-up calisthenics, started a timer and ran the (highlighted) two mile loop. When returning to the gallery I stopped the timer, and recorded the time on the map, signed and dated. The photos of the performance are small in number, unfortunately none of the outdoor shots turned out.

"Routine"

Dear Manual Labor.

On Friday October 14th 2005, I will be performing "Routine". At approximately 7:30pm CST I will go through my normal preparatory exercises inside the gallery before leaving the space for the bulk of my performance. I will return to the gallery after an unknown period of time, the clock will then be stopped and the performance will be over. Documentation will be placed on the wall of the gallery prior to the show opening. This performance is in coordination with the "Built to Fail" series and Industry of the Ordinary.

Love

Nothing says I love you, like tagging an H2 Hummer. Discovered at Wood and North Ave. Chicago, IL.

I*JJ

Stencils. Yeah. In response to those wonderful stencils around the city of chicago. The message "I * JJ" was text messaged to the artist after my door was tagged. Cell phones have no heart. JJ+BF= *
Jean Jeanies, GO!

"Beg"

I entered a thrift store with 34 cents that I begged off people on the street. With a little conversing I purchased the Ty brand beany baby dog and some ribbon for the 34 cents. I then tied the dog to a meter in a begging position outside the same store that it was purchased, facing the counter. BF

I don't want to be sick of it just yet.

Not quite seeing double, at least not yet. I spent the good part of the evening dealing with the backlash of desire. I am too tired for this shit. I have to leave this shit soon. I need to be moving on...elsewhere. Maybe I should just go.

Happy Otter/Sad Otter:

And furthermore Vicki, I have explained this to you before. Racked up like a billiard hall junkie, unenthusiastic about everything else but. It seems that the jovial times have left me for a vacation in the South Pacific. I'm left fuzzy chested inside the tundra nestled beyond the doors of 41. Tender kisses on my cheek are laying their heads in someone else's candy dish. Minty aftertaste. Minty aftertaste. Raising Hell.
